Government set to approve special NIS 72 million grant to settlers

The Government on Sunday is set to approve a NIS 72 million grant to regional and local councils in Judea and Samaria to help strengthen settlements that had been hard hit by the wave of violence over the last eight months.
It includes funds for security, tourism and small businesses.
Gush Etzion Regional Council head Davidi Perl said, this will help the residents of Gush Etzion and the small businesses who remained steadfast in the midst of the terror attacks, Perl said.
Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan said he was that there were people in the government who believed that the residents of Judea and Samaria were first class and not second class citizens, and therefore deserved the same equitable assistance given other areas of the country.
