Greek police probe package at Bulgarian embassy

ATHENS, Greece — Greek police say they are investigating a suspicious package at the Bulgarian embassy, a day after foiling a string of mail-bomb attacks by suspected domestic political extremists.
Police cordoned off streets around the Athens building Tuesday, and bomb disposal experts were investigating the package.
On Monday, police in Athens arrested two men on suspicion of trying to mail small explosive devices, after one exploded at a delivery service leaving a worker hospitalized with burns.
Police said the targets were French President Nicolas Sarkozy and the embassies of Mexico, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Authorities say one of the two men detained had been wanted in connection with a Greek radical anarchist group that has carried out a string of small bomb attacks.
