Hamas threatens to avenge killing of Palestinians in Gaza

Hamas and several other Palestinian groups threatened on Tuesday to avenge the killing of five Palestinians by IDF gunfire in the Gaza Strip, while the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank strongly condemned Israel.
Hamas’ renewed threat came only a day after the movement said it was interested in preserving the unofficial ceasefire with Israel.
But following Tuesday’s incident, Hamas leaders said that Israel’s “war crime” would not go unpunished.
Abu Obaida, spokesman for Izaddin al-Kassam, the armed wing of Hamas, said that his group was closely following the situation and studying its response to the killings.
