Hikers stumble upon live ammunition in Ramat Hagolan

Hikers in Ramat Hagolan stumbled upon hundreds of unguarded artillery shells and ammunition cartridges scattered near an army base. The base belonged to an artillery unit, and the live ammunition was assumed to have been abandoned by soldiers on their guard duty.
An army spokesman said that "This is a serious incident that will be investigated by officers and, if necessary, disciplinary proceedings will be held against those proven guilty."
