Iran says it's ready for 'comprehensive, constructive' talks

An investigative group has published what it says is Iran's new proposal for talks with the West. The proposal, published online Friday by New York-based ProPublica, says Teheran is ready to "embark on comprehensive, all-encompassing and constructive negotiations" but it does not provide details on the country's disputed nuclear program. ProPublica did not say how it obtained the proposal. The proposal says Iran is prepared to enter into dialogue and negotiation in order to lay the ground for lasting peace. It lists a wide range of issues for discussion, including disarmament, trade and investment and protecting human dignity. The proposal was handed to representatives of major world powers on Wednesday.
