Iran threatens to stop fueling European airlines in Tehran

Iran threatened retaliation Saturday against countries that refuse to fuel its jets as part of sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic. Last year, European oil firms reportedly reached an agreement with the United States to stop supplying Iran's national carrier, Iran Air, with jet fuel in a number of European airports.
"We will not give jet fuel to those countries which refrain from supplying us with the fuel in a reciprocal move," Director-General of Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport Morteza Dehqan said Saturday, citing aviation rules and regulations.
In May, the Iranian Foreign Ministry warned of reciprocal moves if Iranian jetliners were not refueled in European airports.
