Iranian defense minister launches 2 new missile plants

Iran opened two new missile plants on Saturday, according to an Iranian state television report.
AFP reported that Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi launched the production plants as part of the country's celebrations of the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The reports came three days after Iran announced that it had launched a menagerie of animals into space on a research rocket, a feat Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said showed Teheran could defeat the West in the battle of technology.
