Israeli delegation to visit India to strengthen strategic relationship

A delegation from the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA) is set to visit India in an effort to strengthen the strategic relationship between Israel and India.
The delegation is set to sign a collaborative agreement with Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), a leading New Delhi-based think tank.  As part of their visit, the parties intend to discuss the security situation in West Asia, including in Pakistan and in Iran.  In addition, they will aim to analyze new trends in international terrorism and assess the current situation in the Middle East and South Asia.
“Israel and India share many strategic interests, as both countries are dealing with a radical Islamic threat and are engaged in territorial disputes,” said Ambassador Dore Gold, president of the JCPA and former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations.  “This is a tremendous opportunity for strategic dialogue that is open and productive, at a time when there are those trying to portray Israel as isolated and ostracized,” he added.
