Israeli diplomats wear jeans, sandals to protest low wages

Foreign Ministry employees are protesting government wages by wearing jeans and sandals to work, the BBC reported Tuesday.
Several anonymous employees told the British news channel that they started to dress in this fashion in order to protest their low wages compared to other government employees serving abroad.
According to the Worker's Pay Committee, security and intelligence personnel working overseas are paid twice as much as the foreign ministry workers, though their workloads are the same.
