J'lem firefighters improve on light rail emergencies

Jerusalem firefighters have made progress in solving some ofthe problems with responding to emergencies with the light rail, the fire andrescue services spokesman said on Tuesday.
Previously, firefighters and thelight rail had disagreed over who had the authority to turn off theelectricity, causing delays of over an hour in some of the drills that thefirefighters conducted this past spring.
Firefighters also learned how to usespecial air bags to lift the light rail, which weighs a staggering 41 tons percar.
