JNF chair to diplomats: Join us to help improve world

KKL-JNF World Chairman Efi Stenzler has asked representatives of international community stationed in Israel to cooperate with his organization to benefit communities around the globe and to help transform the world into a better place in which to live.
Speaking to a wide representation of diplomats Wednesday at the the inaugural diplomatic conference hosted by The Jerusalem Post at the Daniel Hotel Herzilya, Stenzler spoke of how the Keren Kayemet has transformed what celebrated author Mark Twain in 1967 described as a loveless desolate land into a fertile oasis of flourishing agriculture with forests.
Over the years, KKL-JNF has planted more than 240 million tress and has completely changed the Israeli landscape, said Stenzler, noting that Israel is the only country in the world that entered the 21st century with more trees than it had at the beginning of the 20th century.
