Jordan bans pro-gov't demonstrations in Amman

A Jordanian officials said that "protests by loyalists can only be held outside Amman to avoid clashes with the opposition," AFP reported Wednesday, adding that the opposition would be restricted to protests only in certain areas of Amman.
The announcement comes after clashes between pro- and anti-government groups last Friday ended in the death of one 55-year-old protester and more than 160 injuries.
