Kate Middleton fetes last birthday as a commoner

LONDON  — Prince William's fiancee will celebrate her last birthday before she officially becomes British royalty.
Royal officials said this week that Kate Middleton, would be marking her 29th birthday on Sunday privately and gave no further details.
William and Middleton, who met as undergraduates in Scotland and had been dating for years, announced their engagement in November.
The highly anticipated ceremony — Britons have been given a day off to watch the wedding — is set for Apr. 29.
Royal commentator Ingrid Seward, the editor of Majesty magazine, suggested that Middleton may elect for a low-key party, saying that, despite the wedding, no one relished the thought of "getting close to 30."
