Katsav asks to present new evidence to Supreme Court

Former President and convicted rapist Moshe Katsav's legal team on Thursday requested to present new evidence to the Supreme Court. The evidence was reportedly a video and still photographs taken at an event 14 years ago at the Ramat Gan National Park, shortly after Katsav first raped "A" from the Tourism Ministry, Army Radio reported.

The defense team claimed that the evidence proves that Katsav testified truthfully that he had Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) bodyguards with him at the event, according to the report.

Katsav's son, Noam, said the family would not rest until his father's innocence is proven.
