Knesset hosts activities, tours for children from south

The Knesset opened its doors to children from the south on Sunday, preparing educational activities and special tours for them as Operation Pillar of Defense continues.
"This is a nice way to give children from the south a day of calm and tranquility," Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin said.
In addition, the Knesset postponed special activities planned for Monday to commemorate 35 years since former Egyptian president Anwar Sadat visited the Knesset.
Tours of the Knesset will continue as usual, but Knesset Director-General Dan Landau said it would not be appropriate to have a celebratory atmosphere in light of the situation in the south.
