In a preliminary reading vote of 37 to 23, the Knesset on Wednesday rejected Kadima MK Shlomo Molla's bill which would have forbidden the annulment of conversions. Many converts, according to Molla, continue to live in fear of having their conversions negated even many years later. Molla singled out the Yisrael Beitenu party for special condemnation. Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's party has repeatedly failed to lived up to its campaign promises, and has frequently disappointed its constituents, said Molla in a statement.
