Labor votes to adopt Yacimovich's desired primary date of November 21

Labor party primaries will be held on November 21 it was determined Friday in a Labor party convention vote which backed a proposal by party chairman Shelly Yacimovich.
Yacimovich had suggested November 21 as the primary date, while her opponents, Eitan Cabel, Isaac Herzog and Erel Margalit had called for January 21 elections.
Yacimovich's proposal won by a margin of 40 percent.
The party also voted down another proposal by Yacimovich's opponents calling for a membership drive prior to elections.
