Landau warns against rise in gas prices

Gas prices, expected to rise this weekend, cannot be imposed on the broad public, especially the middle class, Energy and Water Minister Uzi Landau said Monday.
Speaking at an energy conference at Netanya Academic College, Landau blamed Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz for not implementing his recommendations to reduce energy prices.
Landau also warned of an impending energy shortage this summer.
