Lapid calls for NIS 6.5b. addition to budget

Finance Minister Yair Lapid suggested a NIS 6.5 billion addition to the state budget, a move that will decrease the required budget cuts for 2013 in NIS 7 billion, Israel Radio reported. He also suggested to increase the budget deficit in NIS 20 billion.
The finance minister said these measures are necessary due to an increase in the government's spending, and the delay in approving the 2013 state budget.
According to Israel Radio, the government will discuss Lapid's proposal on Sunday.
