Lapid says he's 'close to agreement' with Netanyahu on state budget

Finance Minister Yair Lapid said on Saturday that he is near agreement with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on passage of the 2015 budget.
Speaking to members of the press just outside of his Tel Aviv home, the finance minister said that “we are close to agreement.”
“The goal is to submit the budget to the government as soon as possible in order to move forward and improve the Israeli economy and the lot of Israel’s citizens,” Lapid said.
Netanyahu and Lapid are due to meet on Sunday to consummate the agreement which was finalized over the weekend by negotiators representing Lapid, the Finance Ministry, and the Prime Minister’s Office.
