Lapid touts his budget as socially just, says previous governments caved to interest groups

Finance Minister Yair Lapid touted his 2015 budget as socially just as opposed to the budgets passed by previous governments who he said caved to special interests.
Speaking at the Sderot Conference, Lapid said, "A social budget is a budget that serves society, and no one else. This is a budget that, for a change, was not dictated by interest groups that took over the Likud Central committee and infiltrated other old parties as well."
He added: "The previous governments did not pass social budgets because they gave in to all of these people who had become close to them or those that would vote for them in the primaries."
