Lebanon's state minister: Hezbollah will not attack

Lebanese State Minister Ahmed Karami told national news source Al-Joumhouria on Tuesday that Hezbollah would not attack unless Lebanon was faced with aggression.

"Hezbollah will not undertake any military action against Israel" he said. "And it is genuinely not requested of it to take any action that will ignite a war, so long as our borders are preserved and there are no problems or attacks."

This statement comes amid threats from Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah to kill tens of thousands of Israelis with rocket stockpiles and Israeli threats to destroy whole regions of Lebanon in response to aggression.
