Opposition leader Tzipi Livni on Sunday called on the world to bring a stop to continuing violence in Syria.
During a meeting with former Italian prime minister Massimo D'alema, Livni said that "the world cannot remain indifferent to the massacre in Syria."
She added: "International interests cannot come at the expense of the murder of citizens. The West is currently being tested by extremists. Tyrants in the Middle East that are not made to understand that the West is serious in its intentions will continue to slaughter their people."
