An IDF ship identified a suspect attempting to swim across the border at the northern region of the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, the IDF announced Wednesday morning.
The man was detected last night during routine activity on the border.
IDF soldiers arrested the suspect, who was not carrying any weapons, and initial investigations indicate that his motives are likely unrelated to terror activity.
The suspect was transferred to security forces for further investigation.
