Meretz chief slams decision to freeze Palestinian tax revenues

Zahava Gal-On, the head of the opposition Meretz Party, criticized the government on Saturday for its decision to freeze Palestinian tax revenues in retaliation for Ramallah's entry into the International Criminal Court.
"Once again, the Bibi-Bennett government prefers the catchy headline over Israel's interests," Gal-On said. "NIS 500 million is exactly the amount of money that if withheld will lead to the collapse of the PA, an end to security cooperation, and it will place Israeli citizens at greater risk."
"The good news is that in another two months these two chaps will be screaming from the opposition benches," the Meretz chief said.
