Michelle Obama plane aborts landing near Washington

WASHINGTON - A jetliner carrying US first lady Michelle Obama got too close to another plane flying a few miles ahead and had to delay landing at a military base outside Washington, US aviation officials said on Tuesday.
A Federal Aviation Administration official said Mrs. Obama's government-owned aircraft was approaching Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland on Monday when controllers told the pilot to abort its approach to allow the cargo plane to land first.
