Ministry issues health precautions for attending Olympic

Israelis who plan to travel to England for the Olympic Games at the end of this month who were born in 1957 or later should go for "at least one MMR [mumps, measles and rubella]" booster shot before leaving -- if they did not receive two such shots before or did not get any of the childhood diseases.
The Health Ministry said Sunday that whoever was born before 1957 is considered protected. Because conditions of close contact between people from all over the world will exist at the games, it is important for people to get all regular vaccination coverage if they have not done so and to take general precautions, the ministry said.
