MK Katz: Cut PA ties, annex settlements if Hamas joins PA

Transportation Minister Israel Katz said that if the Palestinian Authority forms a joint Hamas-Fatah government and violates previous agreements with Israel, Jerusalem should move to annex West Bank settlements and prepare arrangements to defend them, in an interview with Israel Radio Friday morning.
Israel should prepare to cut all ties with the Palestinian Authority if a unity government is formed that includes Hamas. Jerusalem, he said, should "certainly not support the establishment of a Palestinian state."
Additionally, the transportation minister told Israel Radio that he ordered Israel Railways to quickly move forward with plans for a rail line to the West Bank settlement of Ariel. Israel must ensure access to the State of Israel for all settlers.
