MKs urgently appeal to PM to postpone deporting S. Sudanese

Several MKs urgently appealed to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday morning to postpone the deportation of 700 citizens of South Sudan, in light of reports of increasing tension between Sudan and South Sudan.
The letter was initiated by Orit Rubin, the director of the psycho-social department at ASSAF, the Aid Organization for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Israel.
According to Rubin, since the court's last order to postpone the deportation of the refugees, the Immigration Authority did not give them new permits to work and therefore employers refuse to hire them. The Immigration Authority said that businesses may employ them despite their expired permits.
