NATO: Libya risks division, becoming failed state

BRUSSELS - NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said on Thursday there was a risk that Libya could be come a divided, failed state that could be a haven for terrorists
"There is... the risk of division within the country and the risk of seeing a failed state in the future that could be breeding ground of extremism and terrorism, so obviously this is a matter of concern," Rasmussen said after a meeting of NATO defense ministers.
"We strongly urge the government of Libya to stop violence and allow a peaceful transition to democracy."
