Nordau Beach in Tel Aviv closes due to pollution

The Interior Ministry announced Thursday that it has closed Nordau Beach in Tel Aviv, also known as Metzitzim, because of dangerous levels of pollution in the water.
The statement did not give an explanation regarding the cause of the elevated pollution levels, nor did it give a date for when the beach would be expected to reopen.
