Pakistan: 7 killed in US missile strikes

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan — Pakistani officials announced that the second suspected US missile strike of the day on Friday killed two people in the country's restive tribal region.
They said they believe both men slain in the vehicle in the village of Datta Khel in North Waziristan were foreign militants. The two intelligence officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information to the media.
The day's first suspected US missile strike killed at least five people in an area controlled by the Haqqani network. The group is battling Americans in neighboring Afghanistan alongside the Taliban.
