Palestinians apologize for hiding illegal arms in Prague embassy

The Palestinians issued an apology to the Czech Republic for hiding illegal weapons at the Prague embassy, where an explosion killed the Palestinian envoy on January 1, AFP reported on Tuesday.

"A high-ranking Palestinian foreign ministry official... issued an official apology from the Palestinian side for the illegal presence of weapons on the premises of the Palestinian embassy," the Czech Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Police found 12 firearms at the embassy, including submachine guns and sidearms, that were registered in the country.
