Peres: Foreign workers' kids must be allowed to stay

President Shimon Peres spoke at a conference Thursday, saying that the idea of deporting 400 foreign workers@@@ children was unacceptable.
A decision to expel the 400 children while granting residency to 800 passed by a thin margin at a cabinet meeting last month and has been the subject of great opposition and debate ever since.
"My opinion is unequivocal: These 400 children must remain in Israel," Peres said at the conference at Kfar Maccabiah.
