Peres 'shocked' by 'traitor' graffiti at Mandelblit's home

President Shimon Peres met with Military Advocate-General Brig.-Gen Avihai Mandelblit on Sunday, saying he was "shocked to the depths of his soul" by graffiti discovered at Mandelblit's home last week , calling him a "traitor."
The grafitti appeared to come in response to the October 3 conviction of two infantryman from the Givati Brigade for ordering a nine-year-old Gazan boy to open boxes and suitcases they feared were booby-trapped, during Operation Cast Lead.
Peres praised Mandelblit for his hard work and called attempts to paint him as a traitor, shameful.
Mandelblit thanked Peres and added, "all my actions were made in the name of protecting the IDF, its values and its fighters."
