PM calls Abbas op-ed 'callous falsification of history'

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday denounced a New York Times op-ed written by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas earlier in the day, calling it a callous falsification of historical facts.
Addressing Abbas's assertion that following the UN's 1947 Partition Plan that "Zionist forces expelled Palestinian Arabs to ensure a decisive Jewish majority," Netanyahu said it was "a callous falsification of known and documented historical facts."
The Palestinians, he added, "were the ones who rejected the Partition Plan for two states and while the [pre-state Jewish establishment] agreed to it."
