PM says he'll oppose bills harming the High Court

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Saturday night that he would oppose a bill proposed by MK Danny Danon that would limit the ability of foreign governments to fund high court appeals filed by leftist non-governmental organizations.
The statement, released by the Prime Minister's Office noted that Netanyahu would oppose any legislation that could harm the High Court. It added that the prime minister opposed the bill that would have required hearings for High Court candidates, despite impressions that he supported it that were created by him not speaking about it when he was sitting shiva for his father-in-law, Shmuel Ben-Artzi.
