Police: Grenade planted under car probably not hate crime

A grenade planted underneath a car in Ma'aleh Adumim is a "probably criminal-related" attack, a police source told The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday, but added that the investigation was at an early stage and that it was "too soon to rule anything out."
"This appears to be a criminal incident. At this point it does not seem be nationalistic. But all directions are being checked,” the source said.
At approximately 3:30 am on Wednesday, a police operator in Jerusalem received a call from an anonymous man who reported an explosive device attached to the Subaru vehicle.
Judea and Samaria police officers arrived at the address and discovered the grenade attached to the underside of the car. A bomb squad was called out to the scene, and made the grenade safe.
The vehicle belongs to a man who resides abroad, family members of the man told police.
"They said they know of no enemies or disputes that could have caused this," police added.
