Pregnant woman with severe swine flu undergoes successful C-section

Doctors successfully delivered the female baby of the 38-year-old woman suffering from a serious condition of swine flu in a Cesarean section on Thursday afternoon at Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. The pregnancy was in its 30th week. The mother was admitted to Hadassah's intensive care on Wednesday night. Her medical condition was not reported to have changed following the procedure. Pregnant women are in the high-risk category of those diagnosed with the virus. The 38-year-old was the second pregnant woman to have contracted swine flu in Israel.
