'Private investigators hired to contradict Katsav accusers'

Private investigators have allegedly been hired by either former President Moshe Katsav or a close associate as part of an attempt to get witnesses who testified against him in his rape trial to contradict their own testimonies, it was revealed on Monday, following the partial lifting of a media ban.
The investigators were allegedly hired as part of preparations for a High Court appeal against Katsav's guilty verdict, police suspect.
Police have questioned Katsav, his brother, and his son in connection with the investigation, and have arrested two private investigators.
