Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch said Sunday that a new plan for decentralized policing would increase the amount of police on the streets, but stressed that "we cannot put a cop on every corner."
Aharonovitch was a speaking to Israel Radio about the spate of recent murders nationwide.
He blamed the violence on neglect by previous governments, and said that he'd work to increase the "dismal" police wages.
