Rabbi Elyashiv hospitalized after having breathing problems

Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv, the most respected spiritual leader of the Ashkenazi Lithuanian haredi (ultra-Orthodox) world,  was admitted to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem overnight Saturday after experiencing shortness of breath, Army Radio reported.
The 101-year-old rabbi felt "good" on Sunday morning, according to Army Radio and was expected to return home soon.
Last week, In a letter to haredi newspaper Yated Ne’eman, Elyashiv expressed his opposition to the participation of haredi youth in army programs and the integration of secular studies within their Torah learning framework.
