Bulgarian security forces foiled a terror attack against Israeli tourists in Sofia, Channel 10 news reported Sunday.
According to the report, Bulgarian officers identified suspicious packages on a passenger bus designated for Israeli travelers. Terrorists placed explosives inside the suitcases that would then explode while the Israelis were on-board. Defense officials are trying to determine whether the attack was planned by a terror cell in Europe on behalf of Hezbollah to mark the anniversary of the assassination of Imad Mughniyeh, who was killed February 12, 2008.
