Report: City of Safed to sue MK Ahmed Tibi for libel

The city of Safed is planning on suing MK Ahmed Tibi (Balad) for defaming the good name of its residents, Army Radio reported. Over the weekend, Tibi addressed the government coalition retreat taking place in the city, at which time he called Safed: "the racism capital of the North."

Additionally, Tibi mentioned statements made by Safed's chief rabbi calling on residents not to rent apartments to Arabs in the city.
