Report: Koolanu's Melaku may be ineligible to run

Moshe Kahlon's most-recently unveiled party candidate Tsega Melaku may not be eligible to run in the upcoming elections, according to a Channel 2 Report.

Melaku, who was a manager at the Israel Broadcast Authority, may be considered a senior state employee. As such, she would have needed to resign her position 100 days before the election. According to Channel 2, she only asked for unpaid leave.

The central election committee said it would check into the matter when the final party lists are handed in. Koolanu is expected to unveil its full list on Thursday.
