Report: Obama voices opposition to Abbas on statehood bid

US President Barack Obama voiced his opposition to PA President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday to the Palestinian bid for observer status at the United Nations, AFP quoted the president's spokesman as saying.
"There was a long telephone conversation between president Mahmoud Abbas and Barack Obama," Nabil Abu Rudeina told AFP.
AFP reported that Obama expressed the US administration opposition over Abbas's decision to go to the UN General Assembly.
