Report: Yishai wants to prevent gov't debate on Ukraine visa cancellation

Report Yishai wants to

Interior Minister Eli Yishai will ask Cabinet Secretary Zvi Hauser to remove Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman's initiative to cancel tourist visa requirements with the Ukraine from the government's agenda, Army Radio reported Wednesday morning. Yishai was reportedly furious with Lieberman's move to bring the issue to the cabinet, claiming that the necessary administrative work had not yet been completed. Government officials told the radio station that "this is a matter of great importance that must not be determined offhandedly." The officials warned that canceling the need for visas could increase human trafficking. Lieberman's office rejected the claims, saying they were baseless. "All of the ministries received the draft proposal and the administrative work was completed according to protocol," officials at the foreign minister's bureau were quoted as saying.
