Residents living near airport to receive reparations

Tel Aviv District Court ruled on Monday that reparations be paid to residents living in the area of Ben Gurion International Airport who have seen the values of their homes decrease as the result of the increase in aircraft noise that accompanied the "Ben Gurion 2000" project.
An appraiser will determine how much the residents should be awarded based on the court's instructions and acoustic tests carried out by an expert.
The court ordered the Airports Authority to pay the court costs of the citizens requesting reparations.
