Rotem slams MKs who attended Palestinian unity ceremony

MK David Rotem (Israel Beiteinu) on Wednesday slammed Arab MKs who attended the Cairo signing of a reconciliation agreement between Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah last week.

Rotem questioned how MKs could attend the event, where, "a terrorist organization recognized as such by the whole world, unites and [signs] a reconciliation agreement with [Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas], the Holocaust denier."

"If MKs from Israel celebrate with them," he added, "I ask myself, what did those MKs think to themselves. Did they remember that they were elected to the Israeli Knesset? Do they support and are they happy as a group dedicated to the destruction of Israel unites with the Palestinian Authority and with Fatah?"
