Rutberg succeeds Marom as Navy chief in Haifa ceremony

The Israeli Navy received a new Commander on Monday, with Rear-Admiral Ram Rutberg succeeding  Vice-Admiral Eliezer Marom in the position at a ceremony in Haifa attended by IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz.
Marom has served as the commander of the Israeli Navy for the last four years and was expected to retire from the IDF after 38 years of service.
Gantz thanked Marom for his service, saying that during his tenure as Naval commander, "a culture of quality and intensity" had been instilled in the Navy.
